Keke Palmer Granted Temporary Sole Custody of Son Leodis, 8 Months, with No Visitation for Ex Darius Jackson

Keke Palmer, 30, has recently been awarded temporary sole custody of her 8-month-old son. The Nope actress took legal action on Thursday by filing for a domestic violence restraining order against the child's father, Darius Jackson, in Los Angeles. In her court plea, Palmer sought full physical and legal custody of their son, Leodis, outlining a series of allegations regarding physical abuse.

Keke Palmer Granted Temporary Sole Custody

Following this urgent filing, a Los Angeles County judge promptly issued a temporary restraining order. This order mandates that Jackson must maintain a distance of at least 100 yards from both Keke Palmer and their child, as well as any locations related to the infant's care or education.

Beyond the temporary restraining order, which grants Palmer temporary sole physical and legal custody of little Leo, Jackson is prohibited from having visitation rights with his son. A pivotal hearing on December 5 will determine the next steps in this temporary arrangement.

On Thursday evening, Jackson appeared to respond to the unfolding situation by sharing a photo on X (formerly known as Twitter), where he can be seen holding Leo. The caption accompanying the image read, "I love you, son. See you soon."

However, the gravity of the allegations presented in Palmer's declaration attached to Thursday's filing casts a somber shadow over the seemingly tender moment. Palmer detailed a disturbing series of events, citing "many instances of physical violence." These allegations include Jackson reportedly striking and grabbing her around the neck, destroying personal property such as diaries and prescription eyeglasses, tossing belongings into the street, preventing her from driving by throwing car keys, and even engaging in violent behavior in the presence of their son.

The declaration further outlines a distressing narrative of emotional and verbal abuse, with Jackson allegedly spewing profanities about Palmer to their son, threatening self-harm with a gun if she left, and subjecting her to persistent harassment. The weight of these accusations adds a chilling layer to the unfolding legal proceedings.
